Staff Lounge Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes here at Onshuu? Well... sometimes I do too. And you're going to have to keep wondering for quite a long time, because if you aren't a mod, you aren't allowed! Only staff members may view this board. Mature Board (2 sub-boards) For those of us who enjoy all aspects of life, (and please, warp that statement all you like--that's what I'm going for here!) I've created this Mature board, which deals with all things PG-13. If you don't prefer things such as this, just steer clear.
But if you do, PM a mod or admin for the password as this board is password protected!
Alternate Universe (1 sub-board) Admit it, we've all loved throwing our favorite characters into different settings/places than the ones they've come from. Roleplay that here.
Konohagakure (7 sub-boards) Located in the Land of Fire Known as "Village Hidden in the Leaf" or "Village Hidden in the Leaves", Konoha is one of the recognized hidden villages, and has a kage, for exact, the Hokage. Konoha is famous for housing powerful bloodlines such as the Hyūga and Uchiha. Not only bloodlines have to do with power and fear, though--Konoha's given the ninja world many heroic (and villainous) shinobi. For the most part, it is a peaceful and friendly village, sometimes scorned for its eagerness to welcome.
Sunakagure (4 sub-boards) Located in the Land of Wind Also called the "Village Hidden in the Sand", it is another of the five great ninja villages. Its kage is the Kazekage. One of the tailed beasts, Shukaku, was said to come from here, rumored to have been created from the spirit of a dead monk who was trapped in a teakettle.
Iwakagure (3 sub-boards) Located in the Land of Earth Another of the five great ninja villages. It has its own kage as well (duh) and that is the Tsuchikage. Not much is known about Iwa, except that its shinobi specialize in earth based jutsu.
Kirikagure (2 sub-boards) Located in the Land of Water You guessed it, another one of the five ninja villages, with its kage as the Mizukage. It is an island off to the east of villages such as Konoha and Suna. Like Iwa, not much is known about Kirikagure, except that its ninja specialize in water type jutsu. From the shinobi we have seen coming from Kiri in the series, it seems many fight with overly large swords (compensation???). In the past, the graduation exam for Genin was inhumane, pitting a student against their closest friend in a fight to the death.
Kumogakure (2 sub-boards) Located in the Land of Lightning Though it is one of the five great ninja villages, Kumo does not participate in the chunin exams. It does, however, have a kage, the Raikage, and the main thing known about it is that its shinobi specialize in lighting based jutsu.
Otogakure (4 sub-boards) Located in the Land of Sound/Land of Rice Fields A ninja village, but not one recognized by the five great villages, so it does not have a kage. This is basically Orochimaru's headquarters--though you can never find him easily, as his actual base is constantly being relocated. However, it is known to have ninja skilled beyond their years in training, which adds to its mysteriousness (and allure, for some...).
Ninja Countries (9 sub-boards) Not every shinobi lives in a respective village. Some find themselves living in remote locations, off in the country. Even born-city dwellers may find themselves away from civilization, looking for a break or maybe they're just lost.

ANBU Headquarters The headquarters of the "Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai" society. The members are the village's most skilled and stealthy hitmen. They have porcelain masks and distinctive uniforms to distinguish them from other ninjas--and oh, those masks may look cute, but you don't want to mess with these S-ranked assassins. ANBU have the most traumatic job of any shinobi, as their missions only have one purpose: kill, and defend the village.
Akatsuki Base The mysterious and elusive base of those expert, ex-bijū-hunting criminals, Akatsuki. After the bijū attacked and stole their previous base, they've created a new one. No one but the members knows where it is, and no one but the members know what exactly goes on.
If you do not roleplay a member of Akatsuki, or are not summoned there by any members for some purpose in a roleplay, you have no business here.
